Pastor Cathy and David.
I felt impressed by the Holy Spirit to tell you what God does with your sins.
Today, the Lord wants to set you free. Sin produces in us guilt, condemnation and shame. The enemy of our souls whispers, continually accusing us and shaming us, letting us think that we cannot be forgiven. Sin separates us from His presence. It takes away our joy and our peace.
But the good news is that, Jesus Christ by His death on the cross of Calvary, paid the highest price for the forgiveness of our sins! He desires that all men turn to Him. The free gift of forgiveness and reconciliation is there for the asking.
Act 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,
The Lord does not want to leave you in your sins. He died a cruel death and paid the debt that you and I could never pay. When we come to Him in sincerity, He forgives us. The verse above tells us that He wipes the slate clean! Some versions say, He blots it out! You will never be able to read it anywhere in the annals in heaven! Awesome!
Not only that, sin steals your joy and your peace. But the Lord says that He wants to give you times of refreshing! He heals your wounds, He wipes your tears, He clothes you with a robe of righteousness, so that you can stand before Him without shame. Fully forgiven, restored into relationship with Him!
Col 2:14 He cancelled the record of charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
What a great God! He forgives us our sins, blots it out and cancels every record! JUSTIFIED! Just-as-if-I-never-sinned!
So today, when we confess our sins, He IS faithful and just to forgive us and cleanses us from all our wrong doing!
Receive His forgiveness today. He loves you so much, He stretched out His arms and died for you.
God bless you all.
